The Mission of Citrus Valley High School is to provide ALL students an opportunity to succeed academically, grow socially, and participate fully and responsibly in their education; preparing them to become productive and responsible adults equipped to make a positive difference in our world. Students will be guided in this quest by the cornerstone of Citrus Valley High School: CLASS: Character, Leadership, Attitude, Scholarship & Service.

Fall Play Auditions!
Scholarship Bulletin

Attention Seniors:  Did you know that there is a scholarship bulletin board in the counseling center directly across from Ms. Meyer.  Well, there is and it will be full of opportunities to earn scholarships this year.  Here are the first two for the 2016-17 school year.

The Northside Impact Committee is once again offering several educational scholarships to current seniors.  See the scholarship bulletin board or Ms. Meyer for details and an application.

Attention Scholar Athletes:  If you are a scholar athlete with high character, Wendy’s is offering the Wendy’s Heisman $10,000.00 Scholarship.  If you give 110% on the field and in the classroom, grab an application from the scholarship bulletin board and give yourself a chance to earn this one.  Good luck.
Student Drop Off and Pick Up Map
Attention parents!  Please consult the map below for the designated places to drop off your student in the morning and pick up after school.  It is important for safety and campus organization that we follow the preferred routes. Thanks for your cooperation!

“What Is Your Story?”
That’s the theme for the 2016-17 Reflections Art Program which has been bringing the arts to life for more than 10 million students since 1969. And California State PTA and its members, families and kids are on the forefront of this amazing program, which increases community awareness of the importance of arts in education.
Reflections encourages students of all ages to:
  • Unleash creative talents and be inspired
  • Express themselves imaginatively in their artwork
  • Experience the fun and joy of making art
  • Tap into critical-thinking skills to create art inspired by the annual theme
  • Receive positive recognition for their original works of art.

Smarter Balanced Summative Assessments for Juniors start May 16th!

From May 16th to May 27th, all Juniors will be taking the California Smarter Balanced Summative Assessments in English and Math. Juniors will take these exams during their English and Math classes.

These exams are extremely important to Citrus Valley as a school, and are also important for Juniors as well; this year, the California State University Early Assessment Program readiness exam is contained within the Smarter Balanced Summative Assessment. Below is a description of the EAP Program:

Beginning in spring 2015, the California State University System will use Smarter Balanced Summative Assessment English language arts/literacy and mathematics performance level outcomes to provide grade eleven students, their families, and high schools early signals about students’ readiness for college-level coursework.

Here are some helpful links for both parents and students about the Smarter Balanced Summative Assessments and their purpose.
